Visitors can ride a miniature train through forested parkland, across bridges, and along open fields and creeks with the Indiana Live Steamers. The 20-minute route covers about 9 scale miles (6,000 feet) and offers stops at The Woodlands Station, Nebo Station, and Whistle Stop Station. Most riders return on foot from The Woodlands Station to nearby parking at McClain Cabin.
All passengers board at the loading platform near McClain Cabin, a historic home believed to be the oldest in Johnson County. During the Heart Nut Festival, the cabin hosts displays and live demonstrations by weavers and spinners.
Rides cost $4.00 per person, cash only. Small bills are appreciated to help the club cover expenses.
