Event Details
Indiana Live Steamers gives train-loving families a chance to ride miniature trains through Johnson County Park in Franklin during public ride days from May through October. Riders travel on a ride-on miniature railroad at a leisurely pace through wooded parkland, over bridges, past prairie views, and alongside cattail-lined creeks.
Public boarding takes place at the platform near the McClain Cabin, believed to be the oldest home in Johnson County. Parking is available at McClain Station, and most riders exit at The Woodlands Station, with additional stops at Nebo Station and Whistle Stop Station. Rides cost $4 per person, and the club accepts cash only.
