Families can celebrate Christmas Eve together at The Children’s Museum with a full day of indoor fun on all five floors. This museum-wide experience is designed for all ages, giving kids plenty of chances to explore, play and burn off energy while parents enjoy an easy, low-cost outing. Children can step into the whimsical world of WinterFaire and make a lantern to take home, then take a turn on WinterSlide before checking out more exhibits. Santa will be on hand for visits, so kids can share their last-minute wish lists and snap a few photos before his busy night ahead.
Throughout the museum, families can catch a performance of Aesop’s Fables and Tales in Lilly Theater, pose for selfies with the towering sauropods in Dinosphere®, and take a ride on the iconic Carousel. Young explorers can dig for clues in National Geographic Treasures of the Earth, get hands-on with science in Corteva Agriscience ScienceWorks, and let their imaginations take off in Beyond Spaceship Earth. With a mix of movement, tactile activities, performance, and exhibit-based play, the day offers something for kids with different interests and energy levels.
