Fishers’ Touch-a-Truck event takes place on Monday, May 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. Children can get a close-up look at a variety of city vehicles, including fire trucks, police cars, snowplows, and tractors. The event is free and open to the public.
There will be live demonstrations from the Fishers Department of Public Works, Fishers Police Department (including K-9 units), Fire Department, and Health Department. Kids can also enjoy activities in the Fishers Parks Kid Zone and explore food and drink options from on-site vendors.
To use the inflatables in the Kid Zone, children must have a wristband. Wristbands must be picked up in advance between May 5 and May 16 at the Fishers Parks HQ (8100 E. 106th Street, Suite 150) during business hours.
Demonstration times include:
- 4:30 p.m. – Paving Demo (Public Works)
- 5:00 p.m. – K-9 Demo (Police)
- 5:30 p.m. – Rope Rescue Demo (Fire)
- 6:00 p.m. – Paving Demo (Public Works)
- 6:30 p.m. – K-9 Demo (Police)
Each demo will take place at locations near the amphitheater.
