Autumn Limited Train Ride

Settle in for a long, relaxing journey through the heart of autumn on the Autumn Limited. This special three-hour excursion, operated by the non-profit Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, takes passengers on a scenic tour from Northeast Indiana into Southeast Michigan and back aboard a vintage diesel-powered train.

The Experience

This is a continuous three-hour round trip with no stops or layovers, designed purely for enjoying the fall colors from the comfort of the train. Grab a cup of cider in the 1950s dining car, enjoy a cozy dessert in a historic Pullman car, or take in the crisp autumn air from the open-air car. It’s a perfect, unhurried way to spend a fall afternoon.

Seating & Ticket Options

The Autumn Limited offers an unparalleled range of tickets to fit any budget and occasion.

• Deluxe Coach: The most economical option, perfect for families. Children 3 and under ride free on a lap in this class.
• Open Window Class: For those who want to fully immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of the ride.
• First Class & Pullman Class: Offering elevated service in historic cars, with some tickets including complimentary refreshments.
• Private Suites & Cars: The ultimate luxury for small groups, families, or corporate events, offering a private space to enjoy the journey.

Ticket prices range from $25 for a coach seat to over $2,500 for a private car, reflecting the wide variety of experiences available.

This excursion runs for one weekend only: Friday, October 24th; Saturday, October 25th; and Sunday, October 26th.
