After reading a nature-themed story, participants will be able to visit stations at their own pace. The stations will vary from week to week but may include puppets, coloring pages, art, games or active play, animal visits, and more about the week’s topic. This program will meet at the EDC shelter behind the Go Ape Cabin. If there is severe weather the day of the program, we will meet in the nature center. This program is best suited for preschool and kindergarten participants, but early elementary students are welcome to join us. This program is free with park admission. Adults must stay with their children for the duration of the program.
The day of the week we meet varies from month to month. The schedule for January – May is:
January – Fridays the 5th and 19th
February – Thursdays the 1st, 15th, and 29th
March – Tuesdays the 5th and 19th
April – Mondays the 1st, 15th, and 29th and a bonus Saturday session for Wildflower Weekend on the 20th.
May – Wednesdays the 8th and 22nd

Familiar works written by Grieg, Saint-Saens, Beethoven, Bizet, and Sousa are performed as children are invited to move along with the music by making train wheels with their fists, butterflies with their fingers, and swaying back and forth like trees as they watch five musicians from the Indianapolis Symphony perform.
