The event is geared towards creating a safe space for girls to have fun, be pampered and treated like princesses, as well as develop their character as they learn about ways to "shine from the inside out"... choosing kindness over other options. We also want to bring an end to bullying behaviors through encouraging the #BeKind initiative, teaching them ways to choose kindness over being mean, and how beauty within leads to beauty on the outside. We will have several fun activity stations each attendee will visit during the event: local stylists to help do their hair, nails, and lip gloss, #BeKind and Shine Bright crafts, face painting, snacks, photo booth, interactive character building activity, and fashion show at the end of the day 4PM - 4:30PM. Parents, grandparents, guardians, etc. (4 per family maximum) will be invited back for the 4PM fashion show in our sanctuary to see their girls walk across the stage and up the aisle. We will also have a parent lounge available on our property during the event for parents to get refreshments, snacks, and connect. Each young lady will be given a GlitzUp event t-shirt to wear in the fashion show. They will also be presented with a flower, photo in a special frame, and a swag bag to take home to remember their special day.
