For one day only, guests can hop aboard the Whitewater Valley Railroad for some Easter fun on Saturday, March 30, 2024. The Easter Bunny Express is departing Grand Central Station in Connersville and taking guests on a two-mile train ride to the Easter Bunny Patch to visit the Easter Bunny and search for his golden egg.

Easter Bunny Express
The 23rd annual running of the Easter Bunny Express will depart from Connersville’s Grand Central Station and make four round-trip journeys to the Easter Bunny Patch, which is located two miles away.
Once guests arrive at the patch, they can meet the Easter Bunny, take photos and participate in an Easter egg hunt — including looking for the elusive Golden Egg. The Easter egg hunt is open to children ages 9 and under. Bring your basket to collect all of the eggs you find!
Tickets + Time
All seats on the Easter Bunny Express are $12. Purchase tickets online or by phone at (765) 825-2054.
Trains depart at 10:00 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:30 PM. Trains and the egg hunt operate rain or shine.
Taking a Ride on the Whitewater Valley Railroad
Along with the Easter Bunny Express, Whitewater Valley Railroad offers other excursions most weekends between May and October.
Day Trip to Metamora
Depart from the Connersville depot and arrive in Metamora with a round trip through Whitewater Valley. Each trip includes a two-hour layover for visitors to discover the historic canal town. There is a grist mill, restored canal and lock, aqueduct, several shops and restaurants.
Tickets are $27 per adult and $16 for children 2-12. Large groups can rent an entire car or charter for a special price.
Themed Train Trips
Throughout the summer, climb aboard one of several special train excursions, like the Wild West Special, available on the third Saturday of the month. The themed trip includes a train ride and layover in Metamora, and also includes a host of bandits, marshals, a robber and women from the Wild West providing entertainment along the way.
Holiday Train Trips
The Polar Express chugs along the Whitewater Valley Express in November and December. The re-creation of the magical story includes hot chocolate, a treat by dancing chefs and story time. Santa visits with each family, gives each child a silver sleigh bell and the conductor will punch your golden ticket.
