Consider Online Public School at Virtual Prep Academy of Indiana

Virtual Prep Academy of Indiana at Madison-Grant is a statewide online public school delivering a world-class education to students in nearly every county in Indiana. They serve students in grades K-12 and take pride in building strong connections between students and Learning Coaches. They believe that while they are experts in their field, you are the expert on your child. VPrep endeavors to partner with parents to provide an educational experience that is second to none.

Student Support

All students are supported by highly trained teachers and a Student Success Coach and Mentor teacher. The Student Success Coach program means that each student has a Success Coach that helps them navigate their academic responsibilities. They also are a resource to help keep parents informed so that the student has the support they need for success. This team is ready to stay connected to students and families to build relationships, and to facilitate making connections with other students, as well.

Socialization Opportunities

Some parents might worry that their student might miss out on socialization and extracurricular activities in an online environment. At VPrep, community is a focus and an integral part of student success. Students are encouraged to forge friendships, participate in external activities and really be a part of the VPrep family.

Tailored Curriculum

Today, an online education is a choice that parents can make. Perhaps because it provides more accessibility or maybe because it works better for their student and their family. The curriculum at VPrep is designed and delivered through state-of-the-art systems, personalized for each child while staying true to the standards required by our state. All students in grades K-6 also go through small group instruction tailored to fill in any learning gaps they might have or move them even further ahead if they are ready. Students can attend live instruction daily. Can’t make class or want to review it? Classes are recorded to be available on demand.

Practical Skill-Building

For high school students, VPrep offers a variety of options designed to prepare students for life after high school. Students may choose to explore Career and Technical Education options (CTE) such as networking, IT or digital design. CTE curriculum encourages students to apply logic, to collaboratively work through projects, and learn practical skills that will be applicable in life as well as their future career. Some students choose to obtain their workforce professional certifications in things such as Microsoft, Python or Adobe, making them ready for a job right out of high school.

Some students at VPrep Indiana at M-G choose to work towards their associate degree and begin earning college credit. VPrep partners with Ivy Tech Community college and offers courses that fulfill the Indiana College Core. If completed, students can graduate with not just their high school diploma, but also their associate degree! All credits are earned free of charge. If a student chooses to continue into a four-year college program in the state of Indiana, these credits transfer and will launch them well on their way to success.
