The world’s largest children’s museum is also the best in the nation! Families from across the country voted for their favorite children’s museum in a USAToday/10Best poll, and the overwhelming result put The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis at the top.
“We are honored to be voted the Best Children’s Museum in the Country,” says Jennifer Pace Robinson, president and CEO of The Children’s Museum. “Anyone who has visited knows that while our building is huge and our offerings diverse, it is the people who make this museum what it is. Our dedicated staff and volunteers are passionate about making education engaging for all families and children and our talented interpreters help encourage authentic connections with the arts, sciences and humanities. The magic really happens with those personal connections.”
Pace Robinson went on to acknowledge what a challenging year it has been for so many families due to COVID-19. The museum has worked hard to provide virtual content for those who have not felt comfortable venturing out to public places during the pandemic. At the same time, the museum and its staff worked extremely hard to make the museum environment even safer with a new ventilation system and continual cleaning and social distancing protocols.
An expert panel of travel journalists and bloggers selected The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis as a contender and then readers of USAToday/10Best voted for their favorite museum to become the Best Children’s Museum in the country. Here are the results:
