Celebrate the Holidays at Conner Prairie

There is no place quite like Conner Prairie when it comes to conjuring up the holiday spirit. From a stroll through a Gingerbread Village to a meal with Santa, there is something for everyone to enjoy this holiday season.

Holiday Adventures

Bundle up and head outdoors to experience an 1836 winter season with a visit to the homes and businesses in Prairietown. Help out with the holiday preparations as you find out which Prairietown residents celebrate Christmas and which ones do not. Lend a helping hand with wintertime chores, explore the science of baking, see historical chocolate processing techniques, and be an actor for the day when you participate in the popular Anything Can Happen Theater. Holiday Adventures is recommended for all ages and is ideal for little ones and family members who prefer to move at their own pace.

Nov. 27-29; 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
$12/adult, $9/youth ages 2-12; free for members and youth under age 2

Gingerbread Village

See a variety of gingerbread creations that have sprung from the imaginations of  both amateurs and professionals. Enjoy  the smell of gingerbread as you and your little ones count all the gumdrops, peppermints and colorful candies used to make these icing-covered masterpieces. Get your creative juices flowing by enrolling in Gingerbread Making 101, on November 12 and then enter your own gingerbread house for a chance to win great prizes (entry deadline is 5 p.m. Nov. 13). Breakfast with Santa

Have breakfast, decorate cookies and spend some time with jolly Old Saint Nick himself. Make a day of it and head outdoors for Holiday Adventures to help the Prairietown residents prepare for the holidays. Non-members save $3 on admission to Holiday Adventures with your Breakfast with Santa tickets; members get in free. Find the full menu here.
