Visit the Lighted Holiday Forest at the Shelbyville High School Ecology Lab
The 1st annual Lighted Holiday Forest sponsored by the Shelbyville Central Education Foundation is set to become a Shelbyville tradition. Walk through the mulched trails and enjoy more than 15,000 lights spread across the side of the biology pond in the Ecology lab. The Twinkling Forest, sponsored by Kimura Foundry of America, has thousands of white twinkling lights hung through a grove of trees. The Christmas Tree Forest sponsored by VIP Tooling contains a variety of different trees and types of lighting.
The Lighted Holiday Forest is open from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the following dates: Dec. 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30. Cost is $5 for individuals and $10 for families.
The Ecology Lab is located behind the softball diamonds at the high school and parking is available north parking lot. Follow the lighted mulched path to the Lighted Holiday Forest. Each night will be hosted by a different school club with the proceeds for the evening split between the Ecology Lab and the host club.
Infrastructure for the event has been supported by Compass Insurance Group.
