Event Details
xZOOberance brings vibrant blooms, animals, and hands-on spring fun to the Zoo during this outdoor festival. Families can meet chickens and goats, transform into a favorite animal with creative face painting, and enjoy specialty food and drinks at Pavilion Café, including Specialty Wine presented by Daniel’s Family Vineyard.
At the Bicentennial Pavilion, guests can move to the beat with a live DJ, take the spotlight with karaoke on the Perch Stage, and join yoga inspired by animals. Activities also include hands-on flower arranging at Blooming Cottage, the competitive Pollen Toss game, life-size animal topiaries, and photo spots with giant pinwheels, towering flowers, and Fly With the Butterflies backdrops presented by Tway Lifting Products.
Sensory-friendly days
Sensory-friendly days offer a more comfortable Zoo experience for guests with sensory needs. Adjustments include reduced music and sound levels, lights remaining on during the Dolphin presentation, no voice amplifiers during animal chats, quiet rooms, sensory stations, a carousel without lights and sound, lowered sound in the Shark/Ray area, reduced gift shop music, and sensory bags available for checkout at the Visitor’s Service Center.
