Teddy Bear Concert Series with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

Young children and their families are invited to an introduction to the orchestra through story, movement, and live music. Teddy bears are welcome, and space is limited.

The Runaway Strings follows a quartet of string instruments on an adventure as they search for stories to bring back to their audience by transforming into different kinds of transportation. Children can move along with the music, listen to the story, and watch five musicians from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra perform. The program introduces the violin, viola, cello, and French horn, with musical selections including excerpts from The Holberg Suite, 1812 Overture, Also Sprach Zarathustra, and Bicycle Built for Two. The concert is presented by the Colts.
