McCormick’s Creek State Park packs a Friday evening with fall fun around the Nature Center and Canyon Inn. Families can hammer leaf colors into a bandana to take home ($3 per bandana), get free spooky face painting and visit the Owen County Book Mobile for a craft, then watch a G-rated spooky movie with free popcorn and cookies in the Canyon Inn lobby. The night ends with an Owl Prowl, a 1.4-mile night hike to call in owls, with red-light flashlights available to borrow.
The evening is included with the park entrance fee.
