Broad Ripple Carnival

Running now-August 14

Join the The Broad Ripple Village Association as they celebrate the history of Broad Ripple and the Indiana Bicentennial with a festival in Broad Ripple Park. The festival features carnival rides and games, food and drink, an Indiana craft beer garden, live entertainment and programs and community booths. Location: Broad Ripple Park, 1500 Broad Ripple Avenue, Indianapolis

Indiana State Fair

Running now-August 21st

If you haven’t made time to visit the Indiana State Fair yet, there’s still plenty of time. IC Insider Creed and his family reported back from their outing last week and we have oodles of tips for saving on your own. Open House at the Indianapolis Art Center

Friday, August 12

The Indianapolis Art Center opens its doors for an evening of hands-on activities, special offers on classes, local food and more. Will also include free activities and hands-on demonstrations that all ages can enjoy. Location: 820 E. 67th Street, Broad Ripple

Go for Goldilicious at the Carmel Library

Saturday, August 13

For families all about Pinkalicious, Emeraldalicious, and co., the Carmel Clay Public Library will host a special Goldilicious celebration packed with crafting, playing, and a gold-tastic photo shoot! This program is free to attend but tickets will be required. Visit their website for more details.

Astronomy In The Park

Saturday, August 13, 9-10pm

This weekend is the annual Perseid Meteor Shower. With plenty of ways to enjoy stargazing with the family, we have our sights set on this activity at the Taylor Center of Natural History in Noblesville. Fingers crossed the weather holds up to catch glance at some shooting stars! This program is free.
