Touch a Truck events in Indy Our 2017 Guide to Touch-a-Truck fun in the Indianapolis area!

The ever- so popular Touch A Truck events are back in Indy and better than ever this year! How often can kids climb into a fire truck, a bulldozer or a dump truck just for fun? Towns throughout metro Indy have stepped up to host. Keep in mind that due to noise {like honking horns!} these events can be overwhelming for young children or those with special sensory needs – use your best judgment if attending is right for you.

So for your truck or ‘everything with wheels’ enthusiast, here’s a guide to all the 2017 Touch A Truck fun around Indianapolis:

Reynolds Farm Equipment- Fishers

Date: Saturday, April 22, 10:00 am- Noon
Location: Reynolds Farm Equipment, 12501 Reynolds Drive, Fishers

This event includes hands-on “drive green” fun for children; driving battery-powered Gators and pedal tractors! PLUS let your kids climb inside emergency vehicles, construction equipment, and farm tractors

Ivy Tech Community College Coliseum Campus

Date: Saturday, April 29, 9:30 am- 12:00 pm
Location: 3800 N. Anthony Blvd, Indianapolis

Come join the Early Childhood Education department as they explore all sorts of vehicles up close! This event will allow children (and parents) to see and touch many kinds of ‘things that go’ and talk with their drivers. We do caution that it does get loud so please wear protection if need be.


Date: Saturday, May 13, 10:00- 2:00 pm
Location: Johnson County Fairgrounds, Franklin

Discover various trucks, tractors, and big machines! This event offers a horn free hour with reduced noise. Each vehicle will have a driver present to answer questions and help kids explore. Food vendors available; proceeds to benefit Beats For Bristol. Cost: $5/ages 17 and under. Adults FREE.


Date: Saturday, May 20, 10:00 am- 2:00 pm
Location:  Mooresville Aquatic Center Parking Lot, 1101 Indianapolis Rd, Mooresville, IN 46158

Get up close and personal with some of your favorite “big rigs”. Truck lovers young and old will have fun interacting with a wide variety of trucks, construction vehicles, public safety vehicles and more! Be sure to bring your cameras. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Visitors are asked to park in the grass area across from the park office. If you would like to participate with your big truck, please email or call the park office. Garbage trucks, tow trucks, excavators, backhoes, tractors, buses, street sweepers, etc. FREE!


Date: Monday, May 22, 3:00 pm
Location: Nickel Plate District, 6 Municipal Drive, Fishers

Take part of the fun at the expanded city-wide event this year!


Date: Thursday, June 8, 10:00 am- 12:00 pm
Location: Westfield High School, 18250 North Union Street Westfield

Our Touch-A-Truck event provides your little one the opportunity to climb up into the driver’s seat, honk the horn, and experience all the exciting things transportation vehicles can do! At touch a truck, you might see a semi, dump truck, fire engine, horse and buggy, a canoe and MORE! The final list of all vehicles will be posted on our “Who is Coming” page! The first 250 children will receive a FREE hard hat that can be decorated at an on-site decorating station! FREE!

Hamilton County Sheriff & Noblesville Kiwanis 

Date: Saturday, June 10,  11:00 am- 1:00 pm 
Location: Hamilton County Fairgrounds

Road trip alert: Bloomington

Date: Wednesday, June 14, 10:00 am-2:00 pm ( Rain Date June 15th) 
Location: Winslow Sports Park Complex, 2800 S. Highland Ave., Bloomington, IN 

Big rigs or bust at the 17th annual Touch a Truck! Get up close and personal with fire trucks, ambulances, buses, bucket trucks, and more. Explore and learn about the inner and outer workings of all your favorite vehicles. Ages 1-10 years

Broad Ripple

Date: Friday, June 16, 9:30 am- 11:00 am
Location: Broad Ripple Park, Indianapolis 

Cost is $5 per child and group discounts are also available upon request. (317) 327-7348

Raymond Park

Date: Friday, June 30, 10:00 am-Noon
Location: Raymond Park Outdoor Nature Education Area, 8575 E. Raymond Street, Indianapolis

This year will be better than ever! Your child could see fire trucks, police cars, tractors, rescue vehicles, and much more. Children need to be accompanied by an adult. Remember to bring a camera! Fees for all ages up to 14 years of age. Adults are free. Registration starts May 5th!

Date: Friday, August 4, 6:00-8:00 pm
Location: Gateway Park – 500 Little League Boulevard

Children will be able to get up close and personal with the cool trucks and construction equipment they see on the road every day. Vehicles include police cruisers, fire trucks, construction equipment, limousines, box trucks, and much more!We will also have other activities like inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, and more! No registration is required for this FREE event.


Date: Saturday, September 2, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Location: Parks Maintenance Building, 675 S. Madison Avenue, Greenwood
