Through First Tee lessons, young people discover how skills essential to success on a golf course can also help them flourish in life. Participants learn to introduce themselves, manage emotions, resolve conflicts, set step-by-step goals, plan for the future and appreciate diversity.
What activities are offered at First Tee Indiana Junior Golf Camps?
Games and fun ways to approach learning the golf swing, practicing golf shots and playing on the golf course. Daily lessons in life skills are added to each days curriculum.
What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?
We aim to have a 6:1 participant:coach ration.
How much time do the campers spend outside?
Camps are entirely outside unless there is bad weather.
Does the camp provide lunch/snacks or do parents need to provide them?
Parents will provide a participants own snacks if needed and players are asked to bring a water bottle.
What is the typical daily schedule for campers?
Anywhere from 1-4 hours of time morning or evening, depending on location and schedule.
How old are the counselors and how are they trained?
Coaches and volunteers do an on-line training, background check and SafeSport.
What accommodations are made for campers with special needs?
Children with special needs are always welcome at First Tee and arrangements can be made with coaches at each specific location.
