Where to find 4th of July Fireworks in Indianapolis

Fireworks. Barbecues. Parades. It’s time to celebrate America’s independence and almost every community across the metro Indianapolis area is ready to bring it. If you haven’t made plans for your family’s fireworks festivities, don’t worry – we’ve got a full roundup below so you know where to be this Independence Day.

Here’s your 2019 guide to all the 4th of July Fireworks in Indianapolis:

Central

IPL Downtown Freedom Fest

Begins 6:30pm
Fireworks at 10:00pm

Indiana War Memorial, downtown Indianapolis

Enjoy live entertainment from the Indianapolis Colts Stage, family fun in the Royal Pin Leisure Centers Kids Area, support local small businesses in the Indiana Originals Marketplace and get a great view of the downtown fireworks display launched from Regions Tower!

Party on the Plaza

7:00-11:00pm

Indianapolis City Market, downtown Indianapolis

Dust off the lawn chairs, roll out your comfiest blanket, and come celebrate Independence Day with the Indianapolis City Market! All ages are welcome to view the IPL Downtown Freedom Fest fireworks display from prime seats on City Market’s Whistler (West) Plaza. This Fourth of July celebration is complete with food, live entertainment provided by the band Pushing Daisy’s, family-friendly games and activities, and the Tomlinson Tap Room beer garden!

Independence Day Fireworks with the Indianapolis Indians

Game starts at 6:15pm

Victory Field, downtown Indianapolis

Celebrate America’s birthday with downtown fireworks and the national pastime. Victory Field hosts a special post-game fireworks display every Fourth of July before downtown Indy stages its annual Freedom Blast fireworks show. Plus, the first 12,500 fans will receive an Indianapolis Indians rally towel and players and coaches will wear special Stars & Stripes jerseys to be auctioned off as a fundraiser to benefit the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund.

4th of July ¡Ole! Festival

5:00-10:00pm

St. Mary Catholic Church, 311 N. New Jersey St., Indianapolis

Boasting the BEST view of the Indianapolis Fireworks, this free festival has a bunch to offer! Enjoy great food (including tacos, Mexican style hot dogs, hamburgers, and more), games, fireworks, and more!

North

Westfield Rocks the 4th

4:00-10:30pm

Grand Park Sports Campus, Westfield

Head to Westfield for their annual Independence Day celebration!

Blast on the Bridge

5:00-10:30pm

Fall Creek Road Bridge, Geist Reservoir

Independence Day celebrations will begin at 5:00pm! Be sure to stick around for fireworks at dusk, and the event will conclude as soon as fireworks end.

Star Spangled Symphony

July 3-5 at 8pm

Conner Prairie, Fishers

Pack your picnic and wear your red, white, and blue for the ISO’s annual celebration of America. The ISO will salute all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces each night. The summertime tradition features symphony favorites, including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture complete with real cannons and spectacular fireworks to cap off each concert. Gates open at 6:00pm.

Noblesville Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Festival

Forest Park, Noblesville

This annual tradition is on again! The Noblesville Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Festival will take place at Forest Park rather than the typical Noblesville High School due to construction in the area. Bring the family at 2:30pm for the parade and then head to the festival for live music, games, inflatables, food, local merchants, and more. End the day with a fabulous fireworks show at 10:00pm!

Zionsville Lion Club Fourth of July

July 4 (rain date on July 6), 5:00 pm

Lions Park, Zionsville

Join us for an All-American July 4th Celebration in Lions Park! This is the second largest fundraiser for Lions Park. Food, music and fun begin in the park at 5:00 pm and are followed by the fireworks at dusk. This year, Celebration Central Party Rental will be providing Bounce Houses! Purchase $10.00 wristbands or $2.00 per ride from 4:00 – 9:45pm. Parking in Lions Park is for a $5 donation.

Spark! Fishers

June 28: Friday Night Concert, 5:00pm doors, 7:00pm concert
June 29: Festival, 8:00am-10:00pm

Nickle Plate District 

Spark! Fishers returns to the Nickel Plate District with fun for all ages! Kick off the weekend on Friday night with a concert in the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. The celebration continues on Saturday with a day-long festival honoring our freedom and vibrant community. There will be a 5K walk/run, the Fishers Farmers Market, a large street fair, live entertainment, patriotic parade, and a dazzling fireworks show to cap off the evening!

Carmel Fest

3:00-10:30pm

Carmel Civic Square, downtown Carmel

Come with your family and friends to enjoy delicious food, live entertainment, fun activity zones, spectacular fireworks, and a patriotic parade. It’s a heartland tradition in the heart of Carmel you won’t want to miss!

Lights Over Morse Lake Festival

July 3 – July 6
Fireworks, 10:00pm

Community Park, Morse Lake

Join a 4-day festival dedicated to celebrating the freedom of The United States of America in small-town Indiana. There will be carnival games, balloon glows, a flyover, live music and more! Fireworks will be shot over Morse Reservoir at dark around 10:00pm on July 4. The best viewing location is near the intersection of Main St/Buckeye St.

Whitestown Independence Day Celebration

July 3, 5:00-11:00pm

Eagle Church, Whitestown

Join us for our annual Independence Day celebration on July 3rd! Parking will start at 5:00 PM. This event is free for families to attend, but the Kid Zone will have a fee. This year’s event will feature Strawbury Jam performing on stage. Carnival style food and ice cream will be available for purchase. Fireworks begin once it gets dark! Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, and the family and join us to celebrate.

South

Greenwood Freedom Festival

June 29, 12:00-10:30pm

Craig Park, Greenwood

As Greenwood’s marquee community event, Freedom Festival draws more than 50,000 people to Craig Park every summer to celebrate the American Spirit. Held on the last Saturday in June, the festivities include a parade, local food, beer and craft vendors, and a kids zone. Indiana’s best fireworks show concludes the evening.

Franklin Firecracker Festival

July 3, 6:00-10:30pm

Downtown Franklin

Head to downtown Franklin for food vendors, entertainment, the”Fastest Kid in Town Race,” and much more! Fireworks will be at approximately 10:10pm.

West

Family 4th Fest

6:00-10:30 pm

Danville Community High School

Bring your family and your blankets to Danville Community High School on July 4th and enjoy a fun evening of games, food music, and great fireworks. Admission is free, but food and drink will be available for purchase.

East

Lawrence Fourth of July Festival

11:00am-11:00pm

Lawrence Community Park

Live music, food and craft vendors, fish fry, parade and bingo. Fireworks display will be at 10:00pm, rain or shine. For additional information contact Lawrence Parks Department at 317‑549‑4815.
