Event Details
Young explorers start with a short, nature-themed story, then move through hands-on stations at their own pace. Activities change week to week and may include puppets, coloring pages, simple art projects, tabletop games or active play, and occasional animal encounters tied to the theme. Stations are designed so families can linger where their kids are most engaged and skip what is not a fit.
The program meets either at the Earth Discovery Center or at the shelter behind the Go Ape Cabin, depending on the topic and weather. Look for on-site signs or check in at the Earth Discovery Center for the day’s location.
Best for preschool and kindergarten ages, with early elementary students welcome. Adults remain with their children for the full session to help with crafts and exploration.
Good to know
- Included with park admission; no separate fee
- Mix of seated and active stations
- Dress for the weather if meeting at the outdoor shelter
- Strollers and diaper bags are welcome; restrooms available at the Earth Discovery Center
