Murder on the Luau Express

All aboard for a summertime luau party that just might turn deadly! Who will die and who did it?

All aboard for a memorable train journey that’s sure to keep you guessing! Ride the rails instead of the waves as you enjoy Indiana’s scenic countryside and enjoy live music in Atlanta with the Stompers. Dinner for the evening will be prepared by 9th Street Bistro.

Our special luau guests will exit the train for a buffet-service three-course dinner and music. Will there be a murder during dinner? If so, who did it? Guests will mingle and ask questions as the sleuth their way through finding out what happened.

After dinner, guests will board the train and head back towards Hobbs Station while continuing to solve the evening’s mystery.

The Nickel Plate Express is partnering with your favorite local actors from Big Caboose Players to bring you this murderous adventure produced by 4th Hawk Media where you will get to ride the rails listening to the musical styles of the Stompers, enjoy dinner, and maybe even help solve a crime.

Dinner Menu

• Kālua Pork: slow-cooked shredded pork topped with sesame seeds
• Huli Huli Chicken: Hawaiian-Style barbecued chicken, marinated, grilled & sliced
• Coconut-Braised Greens
• Pineapple Slaw: shredded green & purple cabbage, pineapple & ginger in a creamy dressing topped with black sesame seeds
• Hawaiian Mac Salad: elbow macaroni, carrots, scallion & hard-boiled egg mixed in a creamy dressing
• Pineapple upside down cake

Dress Code: Guests are encouraged to dress for a luau party. Have fun with it! A prize will be awarded to the best outfit of the night. You will be disappointed if you don’t dress the part.

Diamond Seating

Duke Dining Car: Our dining car offers social, 4-top booth seating. Individual tickets are sold as part of a 4-top. Taller or larger passengers should purchase tickets in the platinum seating for maximum comfort. Ages 21+.

Platinum Seating Private 4-top tables

Reporter Lounge: Offers social, 4-top table and chair seating. These offer a better choice for taller and larger passengers.
