Experience the vibrant fusion of Mexican and Latina/o/e/x art and design at the Eiteljorg Museum with AHORA! This dynamic expo brings together talented visual artists, designers, and creatives from Central Indiana and beyond for an immersive showcase of cultural aesthetics. Throughout the event, visitors will have the chance to engage with artist vendors, explore a pop-up gallery of Latino arts, and attend artist talks atย 12 noon and 3 pm.

This year, we are thrilled to welcome the internationally renowned Mexican artist, mentor, and creative entrepreneur, Luis Fitch. Known for his versatile artistic repertoireโ€”spanning screen prints, stencils, murals, and moreโ€”Luis Fitchโ€™s work bridges fine art with urban art settings. Donโ€™t miss this exclusive opportunity to hear from Luis Fitch himself and immerse yourself in the rich artistic traditions of Mexican and Latin American culture at AHORA!

Luisโ€™s artwork has garnered widespread recognition both nationally and internationally. His art pieces are featured in over 380 private and institutional collections throughout the United States, Mexico, and Latin America, including prestigious institutions such as the Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York, the Minneapolis Institute of Art in Minneapolis, the Minnesota History Museum in Saint Paul, the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago, The City of Albuquerque, and the Tamarind Institute.

Join Luis at 12 p.m. or 3 p.m. for an artist talk. Dive into Luisโ€™s journey as an artist and his creative process, and gain insights into how his work connects Mexican cultural traditions with contemporary art.

In addition to his extensive collection of accolades, including the McKnight Visual Artist Fellowship, the Ohio Art Council Fellowship, the AIGA MN Fellowship, the Peter Glen Special Award for Public Services, and the 2018 City Pages Artist of the Year, among others, Luis frequently shares his expertise at creative art conferences and universities worldwide, delivering lectures on the intersection of art, design, and commerce.

Luisโ€™s recent endeavors include illustrating four stamps for the United States Postal Service and creating an art collection for Target stores nationwide to commemorate the Dรญa de Muertos (Day of the Dead). These projects exemplify his ongoing commitment to bridging cultural traditions with contemporary artistic expressions.
