Hairspray

August 22 – October 6

In 1962 Baltimore, Maryland, plus-sized teenager Tracy Turnblad’s dream is to dance on a local tv dance program, The Corny Collins Show. When Tracy wins a role on the show, she becomes a celebrity overnight, and meets a colorful group of characters, leading to social change as Tracy campaigns for the show’s integration.

Little Shop of Horrors

October 10 – November 17
This story follows a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. The musical is based on the low-budget 1960 black comedy film The Little Shop of Horrors. The music, composed by Menken in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop, and early Motown, includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, “Skid Row (Downtown)”, “Somewhere That’s Green,” and “Suddenly, Seymour.”

Alice in Wonderland

October 18 – 19, 25 – 26 and November 1 – 2

Lewis Carroll’s famous heroine comes to life in this delightful adaptation of Disney’s classic film. Alice’s journey begins when she chases the White Rabbit. But her adventures become increasingly more strange as she races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game!

A Christmas Story

November 21 – December 31
Based on the movie classic! Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts — an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Ralphie plots numerous schemes to receive the coveted BB gun.

A Christmas Carol
