Indiana State Fair
When: August 2-18

Holy Spirit Festival

The Holy Spirit Festival offers carnival rides, music by local bands, and a midway with games and prizes. Food booths serve hamburgers, hot dogs, elephant ears, popcorn, desserts, fruit smoothies, tacos, burritos, shish kabobs, tenderloins, pizza & many more.
Old Settlers Day
When:Â August 1-4
Where: Holy Spirit Catholic School, 7243 E 10th St, Indianapolis
What began as an annual picnic celebration is now a fun, family-friendly festival featuring carnival rides, games, community booths, live music, and great food. Come out for this local back-to-school season tradition.
SausageFest
When:Â August 16-18
Where:Â St. Thomas Aquinas, 4600 N. Kenwood Ave, Indianapolis
Enjoy local food, music, craft beer, and wine at this annual event! Kids and teens can also enjoy a variety of activities just for them. Free!
Indianapolis Greek Festival
When: Aug 23-24
Where: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 500 West 106th Street, Carmel
One of Indy’s oldest and best ethnic festivals each year. Indianapolis Greek Festival will have lots of Greek food and fun dancing and entertainment. Enjoy authentic Greek music at this year’s events. A live DJ performance will offer lively Greek staples of rich musical culture.
St. Joseph Fall Festival
When: August 23-25
Where: Spades Park, 1800 Nowland Ave, Indianapolis
The 15th annual St. Joseph Fall Festival takes place labor day weekend. The festival includes carnival rides, food, a beer garden, Black Jack, Silent Auction and a Texas Hold’em contest on Sunday evening.
Indy EggFestÂ
When:Â August 24, 10 am-4 pm
Where: Sullivan Hardware & Garden, 6955 N Keystone Ave, Indianapolis
Indy EggFest is a festival for EggHeads and grilled food lovers. Sullivan Hardware & Garden’s EggFest features 75+ Big Green Eggs manned by EGG enthusiasts grilling their specialties for you to sample! Guests will enjoy live music, grilling classes and demos, local craft beer, and more at this family-friendly event.
Feast of Lanterns
When: August 24, 4:00 – 11:00 pm
Where: Spades Park, 1800 Nowland Ave, Indianapolis
This historical festival on the Near Eastside of Indy has evolved greatly from its origins in the late 1800s. Today, all are invited to enjoy local food and drinks, live music, kids activities, and genuine community under twinkling lights. Free!
Bridgeton Civil War Days

Embark on a journey to the Civil War era at this engaging event in Bridgeton. Slovenski Festival
