Q&A with A Children’s Habitat:
What makes summer camp at A Children’s Habitat Montessori School unique?
Summer camps at A Children’s Habitat offer a unique blend of a quintessential summer camp experience, paired with both Montessori foundation and academic influence. While camp curriculum is established and used as a guide, the experiences are ultimately child led, allowing the freedom to satisfy curiosity and explore answers to campers own, unformatted questions. Enjoying a fully immersive outdoor camp experience also affords the joy of being in nature and out of doors to run and explore.
What activities are offered at A Children’s Habitat summer camps?
June 7-11: Camping / June 14-18: Nature Discoveries / June 21-25: Spy School / July 5-9: Alice in Wonderland / July 12-16: Our 50th State / July 19-23: Summer Olympics
What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

All camps take place exclusively in our Outdoor Classroom. Children are outdoors the entire time, though restrooms are indoors and campers will be moved promptly to our indoor classrooms in the event of inclement weather.
Does the camp provide lunch/snacks or do parents need to provide them?
Children will need to bring a sack lunch each day.
How old are the counselors and how are they trained?
A Children’s Habitat summer camps and corresponding curriculum are designed by Habitat’s own Director of Academics, a state-licensed teacher and Montessori-certified elementary guide with decades of experience. Under her direction is also a trained Montessori assistant and college-bound, Montessori-experienced aide.
