Indianapolis is beautiful in the fall: the leaves change colors, the air grows crisp, and it seems like everyone is excited about celebrating the new season. This fall, join in the celebration by getting out and visiting one (or more!) of these lesser-known, under-the-radar fall festivals in Indianapolis.


Under-the-Radar Fall Festivals in Indianapolis:
Zionsville Lions Club Fall Festival
Dates: September 9-11
Location: Lions Park, 115 S. Elm St., Zionsville
This annual festival is the largest fundraiser for the Lions Club. This year’s theme is “Chills & Thrills in Lions Park”. Join the community for lots of fun, food, carnival rides, bounce houses and more.


Beech Grove Fall Festival
Dates: September 14-17
Location: Main Street, Beech Grove
Good food, good music and good rides are in store at the Beech Grove Fall Festival, which runs for four consecutive days this year. On Saturday, September 14, get to the festival early to browse the unique items for sale at the craft fair. At noon, take a break and enjoy a 1950s-themed parade that will run 10 blocks from 17th and Main Street east to 7th and Main.


Back to the Fifties Festival
Dates: September 16-17
Location: Boone County Fairgrounds, 1300 100 S, Lebanon
Get ready to feel nostalgic for simpler times at the Back to the Fifties Festival in Lebanon. This two-day event features a children’s fun park, a classic car cruise-in and bicycle show, live music, art and photography to purchase, and much more.


Hunter’s Honey Harvest Celebration
Date: September 17
Location: Hunter’s Honey Farm, 6501 W. Honey Lane, Martinsville
Be sure to come out to the Honey Farm and celebrate 112 years of beekeeping in Indiana with the Honey Cafe, a beekeeper hard at work, mini tours, and helicopter rides (weather permitting).


Global Fest Indy
Date: September 17
Location: 4550 Central Ave, Indianapolis
Think global and fest local at Global Fest Indy 2022 presented by Good Living Indy. Share traditions, honor heritage and learn about cultures through food, music, art and play.


Rocky Ripple Festival
Date: September 24
Location: 5717 N. 300 W, Greenfield
The Rocky Ripple Festival of the Arts is held each year in a unique Indianapolis midtown neighborhood, just across the Central Canal from Butler University. The event is staged entirely through volunteer efforts from the community, with proceeds supporting parks and community events in Rocky Ripple. And it’s FREE.


Potter’s Bridge Fall Festival
Date: October 1
Location: Potter’s Bridge Park, 19401 Allisonville Rd, Noblesville
Can you even say fall has begun until you’ve visited a covered bridge? You’ll get your covered bridge fix (and hopefully see some beautiful changing leaves) at the Potter’s Bridge Fall Festival in Noblesville. Listen to live music, visit the 70+ arts and crafts booths, and let your little ones play in the KidZone area at this family-friendly event.


WiseWood Farm Fall Festival
Date: October 1
Location: WiseWood Farm, 50 W 250 S Lebanon
Family-friendly event at WiseWood Farm to pick pumpkins from the farm’s “U Pick” patch. Hayrides, apple cider, fall decor and more! Bonus: It’s Free!
Harvest Moon Festival
Date: October 1
Location: Washington Township Park, 115 S. CR 575 E., Avon
The Harvest Moon Festival will be on October 1st, 2022. Washington Township Parks and Recreation Department, Avon Parks and Recreation, and the Avon Chamber of Commerce have partnered together to bring our a community a great day filled with many festive activities for your family to enjoy. This festival is replacing the Avon Community Heritage Festival.
Morgan County Fall Foliage Festival
Date: October 6-9
Location: Downtown Martinsville
This Morgan County tradition takes place in Martinsville’s downtown courthouse square and includes carnival rides, children’s activities, live entertainment, vendor booths and lots of great food. The four-day festival also includes a 5K run/walk, as well as a parade on Sunday.
Harvest of Hope Festival
Date: October 8
Location: Circle of Hope Wesleyan Church, 396 Park St, Noblesville
4th Annual Community Fall Festival! 75+ local artists and direct sale vendors

Germanfest
Date: October 8
Location: The Athenaeum, 401 E Michigan St, Indianapolis
In the mood for some Weiner dog racing? You’ll find the best of the wurst here at the original Indianapolis Germanfest in mid-October. When you’re not cheering on your favorite Dachshund, enjoy the strong man competitions, arts and crafts vendors, German food and the ZwergenLand for kids.


Pioneer Fall Festival
Date: October 15
Location: Taylor Center of Natural History, 12308 Strawtown Avenue Noblesville
Join the Taylor Center of Natural History staff at our historic red barn for a day of pioneer fun! Join our “quilting bee,” make a corn husk doll and fresh butter, and learn all about pioneer plants with community herbalist, Greg Monzel.


Festival of Jack-o-Lanterns
Date: October 23-31
Location: Riley Home Museum, 250 W Main St, Greenfield
Have a little fun and carve a pumpkin for Greenfield’s 2022 Jack-o-lantern Contest. It’s
free to enter. We will set up a fun and maybe a bit spooky display in the gardens of the Riley Museum. Stop by any evening from 7 – 9 PM to see the jack-o-lanterns glowing or visit during the day if you prefer.
